The first sectoral initiative of the United Nations Global Compact. This is a Code of Conduct and Manual for the Fashion and Textile Industry jointly developed by the Nordic Fashion Association, Nordic Initiative Clean and Ethical -NICE- and the Global Compact. In the words of George Kell, Executive Director, United Nations Global Compact at this initiative launch: «As an industry facing serious and widely publicized social and environmental challenges, the fashion and textile industry is uniquely positioned to launch a sectorial initiative under the umbrella of the UN Global Compact – We are very excited about this effort and look forward to collaborating with NICE and its partners».
